Most meetings consist of general discussions held by those members in attendance. Often, the group has, instead or in addition to discussion, a special speaker or presenter.
Facilitators: Our current co-facilitators are Larry Chinnery and Jim Pettee.
Membership: CanSurvive is open to everyone -- people who are dealing with their own cancer, their families, other caregivers and friends - as well as medical professionals.
Meeting Days: The group currently meets once each week (on Thursdays) except meeting days that fall on federal holidays such as Thanksgiving.
Meeting Time & Location: Select the “Our Meetings” tab at the left.
Food and Beverage: The membership provides food, beverage, and paper plates, cups & napkins on a voluntary basis, at its own expense. If you feel up to it, then by all means bring something to each meeting for the group to share.
Privacy: Privacy is of paramount concern. We will all pledge to respect the privacy of all members of the group. What the group members discuss stays in the group.
Disclaimer: We are patients and caregivers, not doctors. Any information shared should be used with caution, and is not a substitute for careful discussion with your medical doctors and other healthcare professionals.
